Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These terms apply when you use The Pop Up Circle. By creating an account, booking an event or hosting on the platform, you agree to them.
The Pop Up Circle is the trading name of Circle Centrix Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number 17263994). Our registered office is Office 1, Izabella House, 24-26 Regent Place, City Centre, Birmingham, B1 3NJ, GB.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your country, to use The Pop Up Circle.
2. Booking rules
- Your booking agreement is with the host. The Pop Up Circle operates the platform and helps process payment, but is not part of that agreement.
- Make sure the information you provide is accurate, including allergies, dietary requirements and attendee numbers.
- You must arrive on time and follow the host's reasonable rules at the venue.
3. Refunds
See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details. In summary:
- Your refund eligibility is shown when you book and may vary by the event policy, when you cancel and any catering items.
- Some or all of a booking may become non-refundable close to the event when the host has committed preparation costs.
- If a host cancels, you are eligible for a refund under our policy. In some cases, a payment processing cost that our provider does not return may be deducted.
4. Business responsibilities
If you list events as a business, you agree to:
- Provide accurate descriptions, pricing, capacity and dietary information.
- Follow all laws that apply to your events, including food safety, licensing, insurance and accessibility requirements.
- Honour bookings and issue timely refunds when you cancel an event.
- Understand that we may deduct platform commission and payment-related adjustments from money we collect. Payment processing costs that are not returned may affect customer refund amounts and payout records.
- Meet any tax or VAT responsibilities that apply to your listings, including registration, collection, invoicing, reporting and payment.
- Keep payout details up to date and promptly complete any payment-account requirements.
- Not discriminate against customers because of a protected characteristic.
5. Fees, commission and payouts
We may charge businesses platform commission or subscription fees, which are shown in the business dashboard. Our payment provider handles customer payments and business payouts. It or the law may affect payout timing, holds, restrictions and identity checks.
We record commission when a payment is created, so later rule changes do not alter past transaction records. Business finance exports can help you keep records, but they do not calculate tax due or provide tax advice.
When a business cancels a subscription, its paid access stays active until the end of the current billing period and renewal stops. Unused subscription time is not automatically refunded. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for the full subscription cancellation rules.
6. Prohibited use
- Do not use the platform for illegal, fraudulent, harassing or abusive activity.
- Do not send spam, automatically collect data, or use the platform for unauthorised commercial purposes.
- Do not post content that infringes someone else's intellectual-property or privacy rights.
7. Account suspension
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk. We will handle any affected bookings under our refund policy.
8. Liability
The Pop Up Circle is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the booking fees you have paid in the 12 months before a claim. We are not liable for the actions of hosts or other users.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. If we make an important change, we will email you and post it here.
10. Privacy and retained records
If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or make anonymous your personal information where the law allows. We may need to keep limited booking, payment, refund, commission, payout, audit and tax records for accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, chargebacks or legal claims. We keep only what is necessary and remove direct customer identifiers wherever we can.
